Enjoy the beauty surrounding the rolling fairways of this 18-hole championship golf course, which is designed for playability, fun, and a true competitive challenge! This heavily bunkered layout is perfectly maintained and bordered by natural wetland areas and ponds. Windermere Country Club features gently rolling fairways and water that borders on 13 holes. The majestic Butler Chain of Lakes serves as a memorable backdrop. Designed by Ward Northrup in 1986, the greens and bunkers were recently renovated in 2010.
Poor Course Conditions
The course was not in very good conditions. The layout was nothing special.
Fun Layout, Good Conditions
A fun layout with quality conditions. The greens were very firm, but rolled nicely. The staff mentioned the greens were recently renovated. There were a few quirky holes that offered a challenge and the conditions of the tees, greens and fairways were nice. With Country Club in the name, I expected service levels to be much better. The staff was friendly, but seemed a little annoyed by our presence. Maybe they were just having a bad day.
Really enjoyed playing this course since the remodel. A very mature layout in Windermere, Fl has been reworked by Joe Jemsek of the Chicago Jemsek's and is now one of the better courses in the Orlando market.
