Stoneybrook West Golf Club
Winter Garden, FL 34787
Stoneybrook West's unique topography provides elevation changes that produce spectacular approaches against dramatic backdrops. Stoneybrook West Golf Club is now owned and operated by Celebration Golf Management. World-renowned golf course architect Arthur Hills designed Stoneybrook West Golf Club to become one of the better Orlando public golf courses. Carved out of orange groves and overlooking Black Lake, Stoneybrook West displays Hills' trademark bunkers and undulating fairways.
With water coming into play on 14 holes, strategic thinking is needed to manage your way through this Orlando, Florida public golf course. After carefully thinking and playing your way to the green, be prepared to face some of the swiftest greens in the area,
Four sets of tees accommodate golfers of all abilities. The course plays 7,101 yards from the championship tees.
Celebration Golf Management owns and operates Celebration Golf Club, Eagle Creek Golf Club, Golden Bear Club, Stoneybrook West Golf Club and Legends Golf and Country Club.
Stoneybrook was a nice course, but conditions were not as good as some other higher end courses. I was very surprised that some workers were a little rude and condescending. It's not a way that a lady wants to be treated. With all the competition in Orlando, they might need to put on a smile to get people back.
The greens were in good condition and everything else was fair. If you're looking for a cheap course in Orlando, this could be your choice. I'd rather pay a little bit more and play some of the better courses in Orlando.
Nice challenging course
I play this course on a regular basis. I only started playing a few months ago, but, I have been to another course and found that my "home" course is much nicer. They over-seeded about a month ago and everything is coming in beautifully. Lines are actually starting to show from the mowing. Apparently this course, under its previous management, withstood a great deal of neglect. Not so with the new ownership. They are making great strides in making this course a "do not miss" for people looking for a challenging but fun round of golf. They have a nice dining area with a full bar and full menu. Offering things from burgers to wraps to salads. A treat for before or after a round of golf (open 11:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M.). The greens and fairways are well kept and relatively true. Just getting par on most of the holes (at least for me) is a great achievement.
