Harmony Golf Preserve will close on May 9, 2016 to undergo major bunker renovations and install state-of-the-art TifEagle greens.  The golf course is scheduled to reopen in September 2016.

“We will be investing almost $1 million in the Harmony Golf Preserve course,” said Bob Glantz, Vice President of Starwood Land Ventures, which owns the property. “Many of the bunkers will be reconfigured, some of the greens will be redesigned and all of the greens will be renovated. Our new active adult community, The Lakes at Harmony, will welcome its first residents this summer and we want to have the course in excellent condition for the new residents and all of those who enjoy playing golf at Harmony.”

Harmony Golf Preserve, a par-72, 7,417-yard championship course designed by former PGA Tour star Johnny Miller and Fredrick Bliss, features practice facilities, an 18,000-sq. ft. clubhouse, and a restaurant/banquet facility called The Champions Grill.

The golf course, which opened in November 2002, is part of the master-planned Town of Harmony, an 11,000-acre sustainable community being developed by Starwood Land Ventures LLC. Harmony is home to more than 1,250 multi-generational residents and features two schools, town center, fire station, 12.5-mile network of natural trails/paths, 500-acre Buck and Cat Lakes and boardwalk made of recycled materials.

Of the 60 bunkers now in play, the renovation calls for eliminating 20-25 and improving others to allow for more effective maintenance and greater aesthetics. The work comes on the heels of significant enhancements already made to Harmony’s clubhouse, including new fitness equipment.

“We’re proud to be affiliated with such a highly regarded residential golf course community that is positioned to be even more impressive after this latest round of golf course enhancements,” says Integrity Golf CEO and Present Gene Garrote. “This is yet another example of Starwood’s continued commitment to its residents and guests in delivering a golf course experience and lifestyle to the highest of standards.”
