Orlando Golf Tournament Services

There are many Florida golf courses created by well-known designers, but one thing it's never had is a Coore & Crenshaw designed Florida golf course until now.  Sugarloaf Mountain Golf Club is the first Coore & Crenshaw design in Florida.

The well-respected team of Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw have created their first ever golf course in the state. Set atop the highest point on Florida's peninsula, Sugarloaf Mountain offers spectacular views, dramatic elevation changes up to 250 feet, and features backdrops and a memorable layout unlike any other in Florida.

Carefully sculpted to follow the natural features of the land, this new course offers 18 holes of one of the finest golfing experiences you will ever have. Lake Apopka and lush oak forests provide beautiful rural scenery for a relaxing, challenging round of golf.

Sugarloaf Mountain - Don't bother -- yet...

"Horrible" is the only word to describe the condition of this course. It is a shame to see such a great layout and design in this condition. I will say that the greens were good and the fairways were not too bad except for a lot weeds. The bunkers, rough and cart paths (if you can call them that) were just about the worst that I have ever seen. The grass around the bunkers was unmowed, and it hard to tell where the grass stopped and the bunker started.
I played the course a few years back and it was fantastic. I do know that they have had major financial issues and are now part of Hampton Golf. I hope that the current management can bring it back to good condition.

Hidden Jewel of Orlando Golf

Sugarloaf Mountain GC is one of the best golf courses in the Orlando. It is my favorite, by far. Crenshaw and Coore designed a gem that uses the terrain with an excellent flow and variety of holes. You'll need every shot in your bag to shoot a low score.

From the driving range overlooking Lake Apopka to the narrow uphill 18th, you'll be amazed by the quiet scenery and outstanding shot values throughout your day at Sugarloaf Mountain GC.
