John Daly couldn't make it to this year's event, but LoudMouth Golf got even louder last week when 84 golfers collectively wore the kaleidoscopic trousers during the "Loudest, Funniest Orlando Golf Tournament Ever, sponsored by LoudMouth Golf Radio on June 4th at the Reunion Golf Resort.
It was the first mass outing for LoudMouth Golf pants on record, and the players came from throughout the United States to make a fashion statement.
"We had players from all over the country--California, Arizona, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, South Carolina, Georgia, Arkansas and Florida," said Scott Sterner, Tournament Host and Anchor of LoudMouth Golf Radio. "We even had Adrian Young, the drummer for No Doubt." (Young wore LoudMouth's Red & Gray shorts). Heather Burner and Jackie Barenburg of the Future Tour Girls played in the psychedelic patterns as well.
Winners of the shotgun event were Aaron Brabham and Bill Nonte of Orlando, who shot a nine under par in the two person scramble format. Nonte wore the Oakmont Houndstooth shorts, and Brabham was decked out in the BarCode shorts.
The fall fashion preview also received a nod from Scott "Woody" Woodworth, founder of LoudMouth Golf, who took the occasion to introduce his latest LoudMouth Golf pants, Zebra, by modeling six variations of the black and white psychedelic pattern.
The after party was held at Eleven, a rooftop lounge at the Reunion Grand Hotel. Sponsors for the event included GunnAllen Financial, Screamin Demon Golf Balls, and Heavy Putter.
"It was great to see so many people with the pants on at one place," said Sterner. "It was definitely a record for us."
