Gridiron Greats Golf Tournament at Orange County National Golf Course

Mike Ditka, former NFL Coach of the 1985 Super Bowl Champions, the Chicago Bears, golfed with the public for his most beloved charity, GridIron Greats. The golf outing was held on June 24, 2009 at Orange County National Golf Course and was hosted by Mike Ditka Resorts in Kissimmee, FL. All proceeds from the event were donated to GridIron Greats.

A cocktail & hors d'oeuvres reception, along with a silent auction, immediately followed the golf outing at Mike Ditka Resorts - Runaway Beach Club. The silent auction was a sports fan's dream with items ranging from a Mike Ditka autographed leather jacket to Hall of Fame Helmets signed by multiple players.

Raffle tickets were sold with a grand prize of a $1000 gift certificate to Edwin Watts. Several contests were played at the holes with prizes being awarded, such as a new Titleist Driver, a new Titleist Putter, an Edwin Watts Gift Certificate, Callaway Clubs, Cruise or Airline Tickets, and $50,000 Cash. In addition to the contests, awards were presented at the reception by Coach Ditka for the best foursome score.
