Troon Golf has announced the launch of the 2012 Troon Card Program, offering green fee discounts of up to 50 percent at more than 50 participating facilities. The 2012 program offers new benefits that include a "2-for-1" offer at each course the card is valid. With the National Card option, cardholders enjoy this benefit at locations across the United States, Hawaii, Mexico and Puerto Rico.

Harmony Golf Preserve, an Orlando golf course, is a Troon managed facility. If you're looking to play Harmony more often, the Troon Card Program might be your best play.

After numerous delays, the development plans of the Four Seasons Resort at Walt Disney World has resumed.

After being shelved for more than three years, Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts officially announced this week the $360 million resort is finally coming to the Orlando market at a prime piece of property inside Walt Disney World. The property is expected to open sometime mid-late 2014.

Construction on the 440-room resort, which will be the largest Four Seasons resort in the world, is scheduled to begin in December.   The property, located in the northeast portion of Disney World, will include a Tom Fazio designed golf course utilizing the land of Disney's Osprey Ridge Golf Course.

Marriott Golf announced that Chris Flynn, Director of Grounds for Grande Pines Golf Club and Faldo Golf Institute, located in Orlando, Florida., was named Golf Grounds Manager of the Year.  This marks the second time that Flynn has been recognized as Golf Grounds Manager of the Year, previously receiving recognition in 2008, since the inception of the award in 1998. 

The award is based on performance excellence for current and previous years in various categories, including maintaining turfgrass conditions, successful large scale renovation or construction projects, loss prevention efforts, personnel development, operating within budget, active pursuit of industry-wide certifications and education, and more.

Walt Disney World Resort and Arnold Palmer Golf Management have signed a 20-year strategic alliance to create even more magic for Disney golfers. Beginning Sept. 25, Arnold Palmer Golf Management will operate, manage, maintain and help promote all five Disney courses including Disney's Palm Golf Course, Magnolia Golf Course, Lake Buena Vista Golf Course, Osprey Ridge Golf Course and Oak Trail golf courses. As part of this long-term alliance agreement, golf legend Arnold Palmer and his golf course design team will be actively engaged in implementing strategic and innovative design features to several of the golf courses. Future enhancements include plans for a full renovation of Disney's Palm under his direction to become an Arnold Palmer designed course.

Legends at Orange Lake will be hosting a special golf tournament celebrating Independence Day.  The golf scramble will be a fun-filled themed event scheduled for Sunday, July 3, 2011. Make sure to don your favorite All-American apparel and showcase your golf skills.

One of the best golf courses in Orlando, the Arnold Palmer Designed Legends at Orange Lake, will host this special golf tournament.  Central Florida Golfers will compete in an 18 hole scramble to include on-course contests for prizes. Following the event, golfers will head into Legacy Sports Bar & Grill for half-price appetizers while you catch all the day’s sports action.
