Finishing with a 3 over par total 147, Jeff Sunday won the Club Championship at West Orange Country Club on April 4-5, 2009.  After firing a 75 in the first round, Sunday fired a final round 72 to claim his 7th career Club Championship.

The David Maus Foundation will hold its 5th annual golf tournament fundraiser on Monday, May 18, 2009 at Champions Gate Golf Club.  The tournament benefits the Ronald McDonald House of Central Florida and the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation.

Known as one of the better charity events in Orlando, the David Maus Foundation Celebrity Golf Tournament pairs each team with a major league sports athlete or entertainment performer.

The event begins the evening before on Sunday, May 17th at the ChampionsGate Clubhouse during the Meet the Pros event. All guests are invited to meet the Celebrity players, bid on auction items and enjoy the food and entertainment. On Monday morning participants can register, take part in a Pro Golfer Clinic and enjoy breakfast with an 8:30am shotgun start.

Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida’s Doug Spencer 13th Annual Golf Challenge will tee off on Monday, May 18, 2009 at the Orange County National Golf Center and Lodge.  Registration begins at 12:00 p.m. and includes a box lunch, a wonderful dinner at the end of the day and the chance to win amazing prizes.

Golfers of all ability levels can enjoy this unique event as they race around a championship golf course in individual carts competing to see who can play the most holes in 6 hours!  (Can you top 117 holes?)  Golfers solicit pledges from friends, family and business associates for each hole they play and are asked to raise a minimum of $1,500.  All funds raised benefit Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida.

The 17th annual Pastor's Masters Golf Tournament is scheduled for Saturday, May 30, 2009 at Legends Golf and Country Club in Clermont to benefit the West Orange Christian Service Center.  The four person scramble event will begin with a shotgun start at 7:45 am.

The Florida Safety Council and AM 580 WDBO are partnering for the ninth annual Golf Classic on May 15, 2009 at Eagle Creek Golf Club in Orlando, Florida.  The four person scramble event will begin with a shotgun start at 8:00 am.

The Foundation Academy Football Boosters will hold their 3rd annual Orlando golf tournament fundraiser on Monday, June 1, 2009 at West Orange Country Club.  The cost for registration is $90 for individuals or $340 for foursomes.  The tournament entry fee includes:  18 holes of golf, prizes, contests, auction and a buffet lunch.
