Bay Hill Golf Club, famous for its affiliation with Arnold Palmer and the PGA Tour's Arnold Palmer Invitational, is a private Orlando golf course open only for play for club members and guests staying at the lodge. Bay Hill is consistently rated as one of the most popular Orlando golf courses.

Home to the Arnold Palmer Invitational, The 18-hole "Championship" course at the Bay Hill Golf Club & Lodge facility in Orlando, Florida features 7,205 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. The Champion, Challenger and Charger links feature 27 total holes of tour championship golf, a challenging though fair test for both professionals and amateurs alike.

History surrounds you around all turns at Bay Hill. Arnold Palmer still lives and plays the grand course. With the tournament hosted annually in March, you'll face the same tournament conditions with fast, slick greens, pristine fairways and high rough.

Over the years, Bay Hill has received many awards. In 1997, Golf Digest ranked it 97th of "America's 100 Greatest Golf Courses," (14th public course, 6th in Florida). In 1996, Golf Magazine placed it 2nd on its list of Silver Medal Resorts and 15th within the "Top 100 Golf Courses You Can Play in the US."

The course rating is 75.1 and it has a slope rating of 139 on Bermuda grass. Designed by Dick Wilson/Arnold Palmer.  Visit our Orlando Golf Guide for detailed information on other Orlando Golf Courses.

I will always remember my first time playing Bay Hill. Arnold Palmer was always my Father's favorite and my middle name is Palmer because of Arnie. So when I was invited to play Bay Hill in 1992 with some colleagues I jumped at the opportunity.

My foursome approaches the first tee and the starter gives us some instruction, then as we are preparing to hit our tee shots, here comes the King himself along with about ten other gentlemen all wearing suits and they proceed to stand directly behind the first tee and watch us all tee off. Fortunately, we all made good contact and I actually hit a good drive in the fairway.

Bay Hill ranks in the top ten of all golf courses I have played. This course is excellent in layout, conditions, service, etc. You will thoroughly enjoy your Bay Hill experience, GUARANTEED!
