The headquarters of the David Leadbetter Golf Academy is located in Orlando at the highly rated ChampionsGate Golf Club. Distinguishing himself as one of the world’s most prestigious golf instructors, Leadbetter opened the doors for the first Leadbetter Golf Academy in 1983. With over 20 academies across the globe, The Leadbetter Golf Academy and its network of elite instructors continue David’s tradition of innovation and excellence by bringing premier golf instruction to players of all ages and abilities.
Located just outside of Orlando and minutes from Disney World, The Leadbetter Academy in Orlando is proud to provide the world's finest instruction at a location that was hand selected and designed by David Leadbetter himself to give his students the ultimate learning experience. As you approach the golf academy, you'll notice a spacious four-acre practice area designed to accommodate groups of all sizes. With two putting greens (16,000+ sq. ft.), two chipping greens (8,000+ sq. ft.) as well as a pitching area with 12 target bunkers, each and every student will be able to develop and perfect all aspects of their golf game. When you enter The Leadbetter Golf Academy at ChampionsGate, you will be warmly greeted by a member of the LGA staff. Inside the Academy building you will also find seven state-of-the-art video rooms, an indoor/outdoor hitting bay, a Biomechanics and Golf Performance Studio, a Strength, Flexibility and Fitness Studio, an indoor putting room, and a full service Club Fitting and Repair Shop. He soon realized his interest was in the technique, mechanics, and intricacies of the game, which eventually led him to spend more time teaching than playing. David’s career took off in the mid-1980s through his documented work with Sir Nick Faldo which produced 6 Majors. Soon after David’s retirement from playing, he began to incorporate his methods and philosophies into a stringent, holistic training program for qualified instructors that remains unmatched even today. Many of the world’s top teachers have come through the Leadbetter Academy system.
